Novia Methane Pro is a premium multi-layer laminate damp-proof membrane designed to meet the stringent requirements of BS 8485. Engineered with reinforcement and an aluminium foil core, this high-quality barrier provides protection against methane, carbon dioxide, radon gas, and dampness.
This product has undergone rigorous testing at both sheet and joint levels, conforming to ISO 15105-1 standards. Each roll measures 1.6m x 50m, covering an area of 80m², ensuring efficient installation on large projects.

Installation Guidance
To ensure a fully effective barrier, the Novia Dual Tape Sealing System must be used. This includes 50mm double-sided butyl tape for joining and sealing, along with BOPP metallised tape to secure laps and edges. Without these tapes, the methane barrier will not perform effectively, risking leaks and failure of crucial tests. Proper sealing is essential for preventing the escape of toxic and flammable gases.
During installation, the blue side should always face downward, with the silver side remaining visible on the floor. The silver side must always be on top for the membrane to function correctly, and any exposed blue indicates incorrect installation.
