Novia STRP Pro is a high-performance polythene vapour control membrane that has been reinforced and foil laminated to effectively manage excessive moisture vapour in a range of applications. Installation Guidance
For optimal performance, this membrane should be installed using a two-tape sealing system, consisting of 30mm butyl tape and 60mm metallised BOPP tape. This ensures a completely airtight seal, preventing condensation issues that may arise from poor installation or incorrect tape selection.
Vapour control layers should always be installed on the warm side (inside) of the insulation, while Novia breather membranes should be placed on the cold side (outside). To achieve the best results, all Novia VCL products should be fully sealed to the structure using double-sided butyl tapes combined with foil or BOPP lap tapes. Using wider tapes provides a stronger seal and simplifies installation. The choice of tape should be based on the specific application and budget requirements.
