Internal Gutter Stop Ends:
  • Placement: Fitted inside the gutter profile.
  • Design: Snugly sits within the gutter, matching the inner profile of the gutter shape (half-round, square, ogee, etc.).
  • Purpose:
    • Provides a seamless appearance since it doesn’t extend beyond the outer surface of the gutter.
    • Helps maintain the gutter's clean lines and aesthetic appeal.
    • Often used in situations where a neat finish is important.
  • Installation: Typically pressed or clipped into place and may require sealant to ensure a watertight fit.

External Gutter Stop Ends:
  • Placement: Fitted over the outside edge of the gutter profile.
  • Design: Wraps around the outer edge of the gutter, often covering the outer surface for added security.
  • Purpose:
    • May offer a more secure fit since it overlaps the gutter, reducing the chance of water leakage.
    • Often preferred in high-flow or heavy rain areas as it can handle higher pressure without dislodging.
  • Installation: Slipped over the end of the gutter and secured, often with clips or screws, and sometimes with additional sealant for watertightness.
