Description
The Zambelli 80mm Natural Zinc Downpipe Loose Connector is used to join two plain-ended 80mm downpipe lengths where a direct socket connection is required. Rather than having to expand or swage the end of the pipe on site, the loose connector slips between the two sections to create a neat, straightforward joint. Zambelli specifically describes its downpipe connector as being for the connection of unedited pipes without expanding.
Why This Downpipe Connector Works So Well
-
Joins two 80mm downpipe lengths
Provides the connecting socket needed where two plain-ended Zambelli downpipes need to continue vertically. -
No pipe-end expanding required
Designed specifically to connect unedited pipe ends, helping make installation quicker and simpler. -
Purpose-made 80mm fitting
Manufactured to suit the dimensions of the matching Zambelli 80mm round downpipe system. -
Useful for extending downpipe runs
Ideal where additional downpipe lengths need to be connected to reach from the gutter outlet down to the drainage point. -
Matching natural zinc finish
Keeps the connector visually consistent with the surrounding zinc downpipes and fittings. -
Develops a natural protective patina
The brighter metallic zinc gradually weathers to its characteristic softer grey appearance. -
Low-maintenance metal construction
No decorative painting or coating is required. -
Fully recyclable
Natural zinc can be recycled at the end of its service life.
When Do I Need a Loose Connector?
Use a loose connector when two 80mm downpipe sections need joining but neither pipe end has a formed socket.
It effectively creates the socket between the two lengths, allowing the downpipe run to continue without having to modify or expand the pipe ends on site.

Help with my new garage roof!
Trade Warehouse could not have been more helpful. They very patiently guided a roofing newbie through all of the stuff I would need to do the job and provided helpful tips along the way. It's rare to find a company offering such a fantastic level of customer service as standard. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them again.

Garden Storage
My contractor (Charlie Keep) recommended you to me so I could order the materials online for delivery direct to my home. These were for a project to construct a Garden Storage Area. The materials were perfect and the whole process was simple and slick with materials delivered on time and very well packaged. Charlie has since completed the project & I am very happy with the outcome.
