The Freefoam 250mm uPVC Fascia Capping Board is designed for deeper roofline refurbishment where the existing timber fascia is still sound and suitable to remain in place. Its 10mm profile fits over the existing fascia to create a clean, low-maintenance uPVC finish without the disruption and cost of removing perfectly serviceable timber.
At 250mm wide, this is one of the deeper options in the Freefoam Reveal Cover Board range. It is particularly useful where a 200mm or 225mm board will not provide enough face coverage, while the full 5 metre length helps keep joints to a minimum.

When Is a 250mm Cover Board Useful?
The 250mm width is intended for rooflines where a substantial area of existing fascia needs to be covered. If a narrower capping board would leave part of the timber exposed, stepping up to the 250mm board can give a much cleaner result without trying to piece together multiple sections.
Always measure the actual face depth of the existing fascia before ordering. It is worth checking the relationship between the fascia, soffit and guttering at the same time, particularly on older properties where dimensions may not be completely uniform.
Cover Board or Full Replacement Fascia?
The Freefoam Reveal Cover Board and Magnum Fascia serve two different purposes:

Used to cap sound existing timber fascia or another suitable supporting backboard. -
250mm Magnum Fascia – 18mm thick
Used where the existing fascia is removed and a full replacement fascia board is required.
If the timber behind is rotten, loose or badly deteriorated, it should not simply be covered with uPVC. The condition of the existing fascia needs to be addressed before the new roofline is installed.

Important Installation Advice
The existing fascia or supporting timber must be sound, secure and suitable to receive the new cover board. The 10mm capping board should not be relied upon as the structural support for guttering or the roof edge.
Where gutter brackets are fitted, the fixings should pass through the uPVC board and secure into suitable supporting timber behind. It is also sensible to check the condition of the soffit and any required eaves ventilation while the roofline is being refurbished.
