The Freefoam 300mm Hollow uPVC Soffit Board is a lightweight, tongue-and-groove roofline board designed to finish the underside of eaves between the fascia and external wall. Unlike a completely flat soffit board, the interlocking profile creates an attractive panelled effect once installed, giving the roofline a neat, traditional finish.
Supplied in 5 metre lengths and 300mm wide, the hollow construction makes the boards relatively easy to handle overhead while still providing a durable, low-maintenance alternative to timber soffit. A wide choice of solid, foil and woodgrain finishes makes it easy to coordinate with matching Freefoam fascia, windows and guttering.

What Is Hollow Soffit Used For?
Hollow soffit is primarily fitted beneath the roof overhang, closing the gap between the fascia board and the external wall. It protects and finishes the underside of the roofline while hiding the supporting timbers above.

How Is Hollow Soffit Installed?

Important Ventilation Note
This is the standard hollow soffit board and should not automatically be treated as a ventilated soffit. If the roof construction requires eaves ventilation, a suitable ventilation system must also be incorporated.

Is this the same as a solid soffit board?
No. Hollow soffit uses an interlocking hollow profile which creates a panelled finish. Solid General Purpose Board has a smooth, flat face.
Is the board vented?
No. Standard Hollow Soffit is not the same as a dedicated vented soffit. Appropriate ventilation should be added where required by the roof construction.
Can the 5m board be cut?
Yes. The boards can be cut on site using suitable fine-toothed cutting tools.
Do the boards interlock?
Yes. The tongue-and-groove profile allows adjoining sections to fit neatly together during installation.
Do I need separate trims?
Usually, yes. The exact trims depend on the roof detail, but matching soffit trims help finish edges, joints and corners neatly.
