When Would You Use a 450mm Cover Board?
The 450mm width is intended for rooflines where there is a particularly large vertical face to cover. It can be useful on deeper eaves, larger extensions, garages and refurbishment projects where a 300mm or 400mm board would still be too narrow.
Before ordering, measure the full fascia depth at several points along the roof. Older properties are not always perfectly uniform, and with a board this wide it is worth confirming the dimensions carefully before installation begins.

Important Installation Advice
The existing fascia or supporting backboard must be straight, secure and structurally sound before the cover board is fitted. The 10mm uPVC board itself should not be relied upon as structural support.
Where gutter brackets are installed, the fixings should pass through the uPVC board and secure into suitable supporting timber behind. Because of the 450mm depth, careful fixing and setting out are particularly important to keep the finished fascia flat and straight.
It is also worth checking the soffit, roof edge and any required eaves ventilation while the fascia is being refurbished so that ventilation remains unobstructed once the new board is in place.
