Description
The Freefoam 5m External Corner Trim is designed for finishing external 90° corners in hollow soffit installations, allowing soffit boards to turn neatly around projecting corners while maintaining a clean, continuous roofline finish.
The profile provides a formed corner channel for the adjoining soffit boards, helping conceal cut edges and creating a much neater result than trying to butt or mitre the boards together.

How to Install
- Measure the external corner and cut the trim to the required length using a fine-toothed saw.
- Position the corner trim along the external corner before completing the adjoining soffit boards.
- Ensure the central corner of the trim is aligned accurately with the building corner.
- Secure the trim to a suitable timber or roofline substrate, keeping it straight along its full length.
- Cut the adjoining hollow soffit boards neatly to length.
- Insert the edge of each soffit board into the corresponding channel on either side of the corner trim.
- Leave the appropriate allowance for normal uPVC expansion and contraction rather than forcing the boards tightly into the profile.
- Continue fixing the soffit boards in accordance with the main soffit installation requirements.
- Check that both sides remain fully engaged in the trim and that the visible corner runs straight before completing the installation.
Please Note
- This is an external corner trim – it is not intended for internal/re-entrant corners.
- It is primarily a soffit finishing profile, rather than a fascia corner.
- The trim itself does not replace the structural support required behind the soffit boards.
- Always allow for normal thermal movement when installing uPVC roofline products.
