The Freefoam F107 uPVC J Trim is a 5 metre starter and edge trim used to create a clean finished edge around compatible Freefoam soffit installations. Rather than joining two boards together like the F106 H-section joint, this J-shaped profile receives the edge of a soffit board where the installation starts, finishes or terminates against another surface.
It is suitable for use with Freefoam General Purpose Soffit Board and Hollow Soffit, making it a useful finishing trim for new rooflines, replacement soffits, extensions and other eaves work.

What Is a J Trim Actually Used For?
The easiest way to think about the F107 is as an edge finishing channel. The soffit board slides into the J-shaped section, hiding the cut edge and giving the perimeter of the soffit a much tidier appearance.
Typical locations include the rear edge of the soffit near the external wall, the beginning or end of a soffit run, and other details where a board edge needs to be neatly enclosed.

Installation Tips

- Allow appropriate clearance for normal uPVC expansion and contraction.
- Keep the trim straight during fixing so the finished soffit edge remains consistent along the roof run.
