The Freefoam 5m uPVC Soffit Joint Trim, also known as an H-section soffit joiner, is designed to create a neat straight connection where two compatible soffit boards meet end-to-end. Instead of leaving an exposed butt joint, the F106 profile receives the edge of each board and gives the underside of the roofline a cleaner, more professional finish.
Supplied in a full 5 metre length, the trim can be cut on site to suit the installation and is available in a range of matching Freefoam colours and woodgrain finishes.

What Is This Trim Used For?
The F106 is a straight soffit board joiner. It is used where two boards need to meet end-to-end beneath the eaves.
It is not a corner trim or an edge finishing trim. If the soffit is changing direction or finishing against a wall, a different Freefoam soffit trim may be required.
Important Expansion Gap
uPVC expands and contracts as temperatures change, so the correct movement allowance should be left when fitting the boards.
- At a board end: allow approximately 6mm expansion clearance.
- Where two boards meet in the F106 joiner: allow approximately 12mm total clearance between the board ends.
This movement allowance is important for helping prevent the soffit boards from becoming tight or distorted after installation.
How Is the Soffit Joint Trim Installed?
- Cut the F106 trim to the required soffit depth.
- Position the joiner where the two soffit boards will meet.
- Insert one board into each side of the H-section profile.
- Maintain the required expansion clearance between the board ends.
- Make sure the soffit boards and trim are properly supported by the roofline structure.
