Description

The Freefoam 600mm Flat Fascia Joint Trim is designed to create a clean, professional connection between two lengths of Freefoam flat fascia board. It fits over the adjoining board ends, concealing the joint and helping maintain a neat, continuous finish along the roofline.

The generous 600mm length makes this joint particularly useful for deeper fascia boards and larger box-end details, while allowing the trim to be cut down on site to suit the required board width.

How to Install

  • Secure both fascia boards to the roof structure using the appropriate fascia fixings.
  • Position the ends of the two fascia boards so that they meet at the required joint location.
  • Allow sufficient space between the board ends for the normal thermal expansion and contraction of uPVC.
  • Measure the fascia depth and cut the 600mm joint trim to the required length using a fine-toothed saw.
  • Position the joint trim centrally over the meeting point of the two fascia boards.
  • The profile should sit over the front faces and lower edges of the boards, concealing the cut ends and expansion gap.
  • Make sure the joint is straight and fully seated before securing.
  • Avoid rigidly locking both fascia boards together through the joint, as the boards need to retain the ability to expand and contract with temperature changes.
  • Once installed, the trim should leave a clean, continuous appearance with no exposed fascia core visible.

Please Note

  • This is a joining and finishing accessory, not a structural fascia fixing.
  • Each fascia board must be independently and securely fixed to the supporting structure.
  • The joint trim should not be used to pull poorly aligned fascia boards together.
  • Always maintain the appropriate expansion allowance when joining uPVC fascia boards.
