Description
The Freefoam Magnum Roundnose uPVC Fascia is an 18mm full replacement fascia board designed for new-build and complete roofline replacement projects. Its distinctive rounded lower edge gives the roofline a softer, more finished appearance than a standard square fascia, while still keeping the overall look clean and understated.
Supplied in 5 metre lengths and stocked in White across six different widths, the Roundnose range is a practical choice where you want a proper structural replacement fascia with something a little more decorative than a straight square-leg profile.
Why Choose Freefoam Magnum Roundnose Fascia?
-
18mm full replacement fascia
Designed to form the main fascia board when old timber roofline products are removed. -
Distinctive rounded profile
The curved lower edge softens the appearance of the roofline and provides a neat alternative to square or Ogee fascia. -
No backing board required
The Magnum Roundnose system is designed for full replacement and new-build installations without needing a timber backing fascia behind it. -
Suitable for direct gutter installation
When installed correctly, the rainwater system can be fixed directly to the Magnum fascia using appropriate fixings. -
Low-maintenance White uPVC
A practical alternative to painted timber without the need for routine sanding, staining or repainting. -
Full 5 metre lengths
Helps reduce the number of joints required across longer roof runs. -
Six fascia widths available
Choose the depth that properly suits the roof construction rather than trying to make an undersized board fit. -
Dedicated Roundnose accessories available
Matching joints, internal and external corners and end caps allow the profile to continue neatly around the complete roofline.

What Is Roundnose Fascia?
Roundnose fascia has a curved detail along the bottom edge of the board rather than the sharper return found on a standard square-leg fascia. It gives the roofline a smoother profile without becoming as decorative as an Ogee design.
This makes it a good middle ground if you want something with more character than plain square fascia, but still want a relatively simple finish.
Full Replacement, Not a Capping Board
This product is part of Freefoam's Magnum full replacement range. At 18mm thick, it is designed to replace the original fascia rather than being fitted over the top of existing timber.
If the existing fascia is remaining in place and is structurally sound, a thinner fascia cover or capping board may be more appropriate. The two products should not be treated as interchangeable.
Where Does Roundnose Fascia Work Well?
The White Roundnose profile is versatile enough for a wide range of properties. Its curved lower edge can soften the appearance of larger fascia boards and works particularly well where a plain square profile feels slightly too basic.
- Full domestic roofline replacement
- New-build houses
- Extensions and garages
- Traditional properties needing a simple decorative detail
- Modern homes where a softer fascia edge is preferred
- Deeper eaves requiring wider fascia boards

Choosing the Correct Width
Measure the required fascia depth before ordering rather than simply replacing like-for-like based on appearance. The board needs to suit the actual roof construction, rafter ends, soffit arrangement and gutter position.
The 150mm to 250mm sizes cover most standard applications, while the 405mm board is intended for much deeper roofline details where considerably more coverage is required.
Installation Guidance
Freefoam recommends its Plastops fascia fixings for the Magnum roofline system. These use A4 marine-grade stainless steel with colour-coordinated plastic heads for a neat finished installation.
For White fascia profiles, fixing centres should not exceed 600mm. A minimum 6mm expansion gap should also be left at fascia joints to allow for normal thermal movement.
The supporting roof structure should always be checked before fitting. Any rotten, damaged or poorly aligned rafters or roof timbers should be repaired before the new fascia is installed.
Matching Roundnose Accessories
The Roundnose fascia is supported by dedicated Freefoam finishing components, helping maintain the curved profile around joints and changes in direction.
- Roundnose fascia joints
- External Roundnose corners
- Internal Roundnose corners
- 135-degree corner options
- End caps
Using the correct matching accessories is important, particularly with a shaped fascia profile, as standard square trims will not give the same neat finish.
Delivery Information
Stocked White Roundnose fascia is normally delivered within 2–3 working days from the point of order. Larger quantities and certain UK delivery areas may occasionally require a little longer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Roundnose fascia a full replacement board?
Yes. This Freefoam Magnum Roundnose fascia is 18mm thick and designed for new-build or full roofline replacement applications.
Does it need timber backing behind it?
The Magnum system is designed to be self-supporting when installed correctly, so a fascia backing board is not normally required.
Can gutter brackets be fixed directly to the fascia?
Yes. The Magnum range is designed so that a suitable rainwater system can be fixed directly to the board using the correct fixings.
What is the difference between Roundnose and Ogee fascia?
Roundnose has a softer rounded lower edge, while Ogee has a more decorative curved profile. Roundnose generally gives a simpler, more understated appearance.
What is the difference between Roundnose and Square Leg fascia?
Square Leg fascia has a straighter, sharper lower profile. Roundnose introduces a curved edge for a slightly softer roofline finish.
Can the 5m boards be cut?
Yes. Freefoam uPVC fascia can be cut on site using suitable woodworking tools and a fine-toothed saw.
Which width should I choose?
Measure the vertical fascia depth required by the roof construction. Available widths range from 150mm through to the much deeper 405mm option.
A Softer Alternative to Square Fascia
