Description

Explore the full range of Hargreaves Round Cast Iron Downpipes, available in 65mm (2.5"), 75mm (3"), 100mm (4"), and 150mm (6") diameters. These pair with the Hargreaves Cast Iron Guttering.

These robust, traditionally styled downpipes are perfect for both heritage renovations and high-performance drainage in new builds. Choose from primed or beautiful painted black finishes, with fast UK delivery in 2–3 working days.

Fixings & Installation

Depending on the style, fixing methods include 100mm large head pipe nails, coach screws, or drive-in spikes. For a decorative finish, holderbats or decorative earbands are also available. All fixings are kept in stock and ready for dispatch.

For 100mm (4") pipes, allow approximately 4 metres of caulking cord and a quarter of a tube of CT1 sealant per joint. Scale your requirements up or down based on pipe diameter.

Finishing & Painting Guidance

Supplied in a grey metal primer with rust inhibitors, all products should be checked on arrival. Any damage to the coating should be wire-brushed and spot-primed before installation. For the best finish:

  • Apply two undercoats and one topcoat, or

  • One undercoat and two topcoats of high-quality exterior paint.
    For coastal areas, consult your paint supplier for marine-grade protection.

Delivery was very quick & within time frame specified. Communication throughout was excellent. It took a couple of weeks before we got around to erecting it. All the parts were labelled very well.
