The Millboard® Envello Aluminium Vertical Starter Trim (2.5m) is an essential component when installing Millboard® cladding vertically. Designed to create a straight, level starting point, this trim helps ensure your Shadow Line+ or Board & Batten+ boards align accurately from the very first board.
Used at the base of the installation, this genuine Millboard® accessory provides a secure and durable foundation, giving your cladding project a clean, professional finish from the ground up.
Why Use a Vertical Starter Trim?
When cladding vertically, the first board sets the line for everything that follows. This aluminium starter trim:

Installation Guidance
Vertical starter trims are fixed:
-
At the bottom of the battens
-
Using perforated closure trims
-
With 20mm stainless steel screws
This creates a strong, straight reference line for the first cladding board and helps maintain alignment across the full installation.
Important:
The ends of the cladding boards will sit slightly lower than the starter trim – this is by design and should be considered during layout.

Garden Storage
My contractor (Charlie Keep) recommended you to me so I could order the materials online for delivery direct to my home. These were for a project to construct a Garden Storage Area.
