Description
Novia Black+ Construction Wrap Breather Membrane is a lightweight, versatile membrane designed specifically for insulated wall applications. It provides excellent water resistance while maintaining high breathability, ensuring effective moisture management in modern building projects. With a 3-layer polypropylene and microporous core laminate, this membrane is suitable for walls and complies with EN 13859-2 for wall applications. Due to its roll size, roof applications are not recommended.
This product meets EN 13501-1 fire classification grade E and features a black side with a grey reverse, ensuring a modern aesthetic. The membrane also meets the UKCA marking requirements, introduced under the 2013 Construction Products Regulations and CE marking.

Installation
To install Novia Black+ Construction Wrap, affix it to the wall structure, ensuring that upper layers overlap lower layers. Work from the bottom upwards, maintaining a minimum overlap of 100mm for horizontal joints. Vertical lap joints should be at least 150mm and should not begin within 300mm of a corner. Ensure the bottom timber is protected with an overlap. Fix the membrane at suitable intervals using galvanised nails, stainless staples, or other permanent fixings. Avoid exposing the membrane to weathering, high winds, or excessive UV for extended periods, as this could cause damage over time. If exposure is necessary, consider using suitable temporary protection materials.
Tapes
We recommend using Novia installation tapes to enhance the final installation quality. Tapes improve performance, airtightness, and allow for easy repairs of any unexpected on-site damage.
