Description

Novia VC4000 FR Reflective Vapour Control Layer is a premium-quality, high-performance air and vapour control layer (AVCL) designed for use in high-rise and fire-sensitive applications. With a Class B-s1, d0 fire rating to EN 13501-1, this membrane offers exceptional flame resistance while providing excellent moisture vapour control. It is fully compliant with BS EN 13984 and UKCA approved.

With 98% reflectivity, Novia VC4000 FR enhances insulation efficiency, improving both U-values and r-values when facing a 25mm cavity. Its low moisture vapour permeability helps minimise interstitial condensation, making it ideal for any insulated wall or roof application where high vapour resistance is required.

When installing insulated walls or roofs, the air and vapour control layers should always be placed on the warm side of the building envelope. For optimal performance, Novia VC4000 FR should be installed using Novia sealing tapes to ensure a fully airtight seal. Proper installation of the membrane and tapes is essential for achieving the intended design outcomes.

All membrane joints should have a minimum 150mm overlap and be positioned on a stud, rafter, timber, or other framework where possible.

Delivery was very quick & within time frame specified. Communication throughout was excellent. It took a couple of weeks before we got around to erecting it. All the parts were labelled very well.
