FAQs
How long does delivery take?
7-10 working days from receipt of your order. We'll keep you well informed ahead of delivery.
How many screws do I need per board?
We recommend x9 screws which should be 5-6mm in diameter and at least 80mm long.
Are the boards fire rated?
As the composite products are part wood fibres, composite wall cladding boards are not fire rated.
Are the boards waterproof?
The Composite Cladding Boards have a low water absorption rate when compared with real wood cladding. The 40% plastic elements within the Composite Boards are mixed with hardwood fibres during the extrusion process to prevent moisture from absorbing into the Boards.
Do the boards need a membrane underneath?
Composite cladding boards are naturally very resistant to water exposure/weather damage and so there is a relatively low chance of water penetrating through the cladding and damaging the wall behind. If however, you live in an environment where there is high wind and rainfall, a good quality membrane installed beneath your boards will help to protect your home.
Do the boards need to be painted or treated?
The low-maintenance composite material does not need to be sanded, treated or painted. Simply select your chosen colour, install and enjoy. Please note, the composite decking boards that we supply cannot be painted.
Can I use a pressure washer with the boards?
A pressure washer can be used to clean your composite cladding boards. We recommend using a pressure washer with a psi of no greater than 2,000
Can they be installed vertically and horizontally?
Yes
