Description
This 2.4m pressure treated timber post is manufactured from a durable Larch and Spruce softwood mix and supplied with a traditional rough sawn finish for strength and long-term outdoor performance. With a 75mm x 75mm (3” x 3”) square profile, it is well suited for fencing, gate installations and panel support in residential and trade landscaping projects.
The timber is pre-tanalised and pressure treated to UC4 standard, making it suitable for direct ground contact and exposed external environments. This high-pressure treatment process protects the post against moisture penetration, fungal decay and insect attack, helping to ensure a long service life with minimal maintenance.
Commonly used as a fence post or panel post, this size also performs well in light structural applications and garden construction. The post is supplied ready to install and can be cut to length if required. Any cut ends should be sealed with a suitable preservative to maintain treatment integrity.

Installation Note
For posts installed in ground contact, applying bitumen or a suitable ground-contact barrier to the section below ground level and just above the soil line is recommended. This provides additional protection against moisture retention and helps extend the lifespan of the timber.
With correct installation and basic maintenance, UC4 treated timber posts typically achieve a service life of 15–20 years or more, making this a reliable and cost-effective solution for outdoor fencing and landscaping projects.
