Each screw features a single course thread, purpose-built to minimise board movement and eliminate the “ream out” effect, helping to prevent loose boards and annoying squeaks over time. The star (T10) recess head delivers excellent driver grip and control, reducing cam-out and allowing for faster, more accurate fixing. A narrow countersunk head ensures the screw sits flush, so the next board fits perfectly into place for a smooth, uninterrupted finish.
Unlike nails and adhesives, Cladding Plus Screws allow boards to be easily removed or replaced without damaging the timber, making future maintenance or adjustments simple. How many screws per cladding board?
As a general rule:

Use 2 screws per batten (one fixing near each edge of the board).

Battens are usually spaced at 400mm–600mm centres.
Typical screw usage per board
Example board lengths:

If you have:

2400 ÷ 400 = 6 battens per board

6 × 2 screws = 12 screws per board

➡ In this case, you probably need 2 packs of 200 screws
Quick rule of thumb
Allow 10–20 screws per board, depending on board length and batten spacing. Always allow an extra 10% for waste and breakages.
When should you use more screws?
Use closer batten spacing and more fixings if:
