Description
Cladding Plus Screws are premium stainless steel fixing solutions designed specifically for installing tongue and groove cladding, panelling and flooring with a strong, secure and professional finish. Engineered for performance and ease of use, these screws provide a hidden fixing method that delivers a clean, seamless appearance while ensuring long-lasting strength and stability.
Each screw features a single course thread, purpose-built to minimise board movement and eliminate the “ream out” effect, helping to prevent loose boards and annoying squeaks over time. The star (T10) recess head delivers excellent driver grip and control, reducing cam-out and allowing for faster, more accurate fixing. A narrow countersunk head ensures the screw sits flush, so the next board fits perfectly into place for a smooth, uninterrupted finish.
Unlike nails and adhesives, Cladding Plus Screws allow boards to be easily removed or replaced without damaging the timber, making future maintenance or adjustments simple. This makes them an ideal choice for both professional installers and DIY users who want a reliable, tidy and reversible fixing system.
Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, these screws offer outstanding resistance to corrosion, making them perfect for exterior applications such as timber cladding, sheds, garden rooms and outdoor projects.
Each box contains 200 screws and includes 2 free T10 driver bits for added convenience.

How many screws per cladding board?
As a general rule:
-
Use 2 screws per batten (one fixing near each edge of the board).
-
Battens are usually spaced at 400mm–600mm centres.
Typical screw usage per board
Example board lengths:
| Board Length | Battens @ 400mm centres | Approx. Screws per Board |
|---|---|---|
| 1800mm | 5 battens | 10 screws |
| 2400mm | 6 battens | 12 screws |
| 3600mm | 8–9 battens | 16–18 screws |
Estimated average:
✅ Around 10–18 screws per board, depending on length and batten spacing.
How customers can calculate how many screws they need
Use this simple formula:
Number of screws needed =
Step-by-step example:
If you have:
-
20 boards
-
Length: 2400mm
-
Batten spacing: 400mm
Then:
-
2400 ÷ 400 = 6 battens per board
-
6 × 2 screws = 12 screws per board
-
12 × 20 boards = 240 screws needed
➡ In this case, you probably need 2 packs of 200 screws
Quick rule of thumb
Allow 10–20 screws per board, depending on board length and batten spacing. Always allow an extra 10% for waste and breakages.
When should you use more screws?
Use closer batten spacing and more fixings if:
-
Boards are wide or thick
-
Location is exposed or very windy
-
Timber is green or high moisture content
