FAQs
1. What fixings are recommended for installing the Skyline CA90 Door Canopy?
We recommend using DrillFast Painted Low Profile Mainfix Fasteners in the same RAL colour as the canopy finish for a seamless appearance.

25mm Fasteners (no washers): Used to fix the soffit panel to the canopy hood.
Approx. 6 fixings per canopy required. -
35mm Fasteners (with 15mm washers): Used to fix the canopy to the wall brackets. Approx. 3 fixings per canopy bracket required. Each canopy typically includes 4–5 brackets, depending on the width.
2. How should the CA90 Door Canopy be assembled?
The canopy must be assembled in accordance with the Skyline CA90 installation guideline supplied with the product.
3. How is the canopy fixed to the wall?

Wall brackets should be securely fixed to the masonry substrate using:

8 No. M10 anchor rods, nominal length 100mm

Fischer Vinylester Mortar FIS VL 300T injection resin
-

Allow the anchor bolts to cure for 24 hours before proceeding with canopy installation.
4. What fixings are required for attaching the soffit panel and canopy?

Soffit panel to canopy:
Use 11 No. 5.5mm x 38mm self-drilling screws. -
Canopy to wall brackets:
Use 12 No. 5.5mm x 38mm self-drilling screws. -
Complete assembly to masonry substrate:
Use 10 No. 5.5mm x 38mm self-drilling screws.
5. Do washers need to be used with all fixings?

Washers are not required for the 25mm fasteners (soffit to hood).

Washers are required for the 35mm fasteners (canopy to brackets).
6. How long should the fixing mortar cure before installation?
The Fischer Vinylester Mortar FIS VL 300T must cure for at least 24 hours before attaching the canopy to ensure a secure and durable installation.
7. Can the fixings be colour matched to the canopy?
Yes. All DrillFast fixings should be painted or powder-coated to match the RAL colour of the canopy finish for a consistent and professional appearance.
